"Because it does not use Windows 95/98, Windows NT, Windows 2000, Linux or
any other form of Windows, many ready-made exploitation tools simply won't
work on the DI-701."

(I never knew Linux was a form of Windows)

"Question #1: Why does my DI-701 lock up on occasion and what should I do?

When the DI-701 locks up, that means it is working. Some types of hacker
tools use very non-standard data streams. Some of these streams may cause
the DI-701 to lock up. When the DI-701 locks up, it will not affect the
computers attached to it. When the DI-701 locks up, simply unplug and
re-plug in the unit to cause it to reboot. You may need to restart the
client computers to regain Internet access."

(Isn't a lockup a buffer-overrun exploit waiting to happen?)

There's one product I would definitely avoid at all costs and recommend a
Linux firewall running on a spare 486 as a much more solid solution.
