would you believe i had to "view frame source" to actually read this
description?
they're lucky i couldn't find a "contact the webmaster" link either:
For those who want to know ? how does the DOT work?
The DOT is a new interactive television device. Inside the DOT is a
specially developed film. This film has the ability to react to
certain codes on the TV screen as well as to a certain spectrum of
light and store this information. This process happens without the
need of any chemical development process.
During the special DOT programs on Seven and its affiliate stations, a
DOT code will be transmitted. When placed on the indicated position on
the television screen, the DOT records the code. The holes in the
cardboard act like lenses and refocus the image from the TV screen on
the surface of the DOT film.
The DOT should not be removed until the program is finished. Each DOT
can only be activated once. Don't forget you can increase your chances
of being rewarded with a galaxy of gifts by participating often and
adopting a DOT each day.
sounds like a pretty good con to me. 10 points for the attempt.
"the holes in the cardboard act like lenses and refocus the image from
the tv screen". ahuh, right.
