Hi,
I was just wondering if anybody can give me any info on
installation of a tape drive in RedHat 6.2
/etc/sysconfig/hwconf shows the tape drive at device /dev/st1
However :
* an stinit craps out with
Can't find the tape characteristics database.
* no /dev/tape
* no /etc/sysconfig/tape
Is this normal..I haven't done any setup for the tape
drive...just installed and booted and tried to fiddle with it,
got nowhere whatsoever
