This is looking to me to be a misinstallation.
Make sure you're using the *right* GLX module.
look in /usr/X11R6/lib/modules/extensions, and make sure that you've removed
[or renamed] libglx.a.
Next, make sure you have the NVIDIA libglx.so.1.0.5 in here [with matching
symlink to libglx.so].
Then also make sure in your XF86Config that in Section "Device" you're
using:
Driver "nvidia"
rather than the default
Driver "nv"
This will enable the NVIDIA_glx drivers, rather than XF4's existing nVidia
GLX.
Now, MOST IMPORTANTLY, look in /usr/lib. _REMOVE_ (or relocate, do not just
rename) the libGL.so from the mesa package. Make sure the libGL from
NVIDIA_glx is installed in here. re-run ldconfig. You might want to use -v
to make sure that the nVidia one is being selected.
Of course, if you followed the install instructures for NVIDIA_glx, you've
already done all this, and you have some other serious problem.
Other things to check:
Make sure in your BIOS, your AGP Apature is set to *twice* the amount of
memory on your card.
Test the card under 'doze to make sure it works right at all.
