just my 2 cents but...

you get what you pay for. the low price DLink NICs are not that flash, but
if you need the quality you need to spend at least $35-50 on a NIC. i
bought a couple of their 530TX NICs and they are rock solid, probably
because they use the DEC chip rather then the Realtek.
