Let me guess, they told you it would be easy to get a job once you had one
of these silly certification things.

Do you mean that your employer gave you much customer service?

Antoni I don't think you are going to get a favourable response here. Let
me see, your first post to SLUG was on 24th of November to see which web
address you could use to contact everyone on SLUG. Then on the 28th, just
4 days later, you post again with a message just like this one, trying to
get some work saying you have your MCP certificate. Just to sweeten the
pie you post in both text and HTML formats.

You then improve, on the 30th of Nov you start a thread on which books
would be good for learning Linux. You get some points back for that one.

On the 12th of Dec another message to solicit a job, you do mentioned that
"I know that a few weeks ago I sent out a similar message but it was in
that evil HTML format, so some of you guys might not have gotten the
message." More like ignored. Terry Collins replied to this with some web
sites for you to try.

Now again in Feb we get another plea. What happened to learning Linux,
where are the questions about you having gotten it installed but you can't
get your video card to work? Or the questions about getting samba to
communicate with your NT machine?

Also essential is having a clue. Someone sprouting an MCP certificate
trying multiple times on a Linux list to solicit work, without showing any
sign of being part of the community is going to get you zip.

Tony, I think you need to help yourself first. I wish you the best in your
endevours to find a position in the IT industry. Yes it is hard, but I
think you are going to have to change your strategy.

Don't let my flame discourage your interest in Linux thought. Give it a
try. If you have any problems give us a yell here and we will help all we
can, thats what this list IS for.
