Happy New Year all! My ppp dial-up has stopped working as non-root.
The premissions on pppd are: lonewolf: ~ $ lsa /usr/sbin/pppd 220 -rwsr-xr-- 1 root dip 218524 Sep 29 22:00 /usr/sbin/pppd But when I try and connect I get this error: lonewolf: ~ $ pon Bigpond /usr/sbin/pppd: must be root to run /usr/sbin/pppd, since it is not setuid-root Is there some other file that the permissions need to be changed on? This is quite annoying as it used to work :-( TIA. -- ************** * Simon Wong * ************** -- SLUG - Sydney Linux User Group Mailing List - http://slug.org.au/ More Info: http://lists.slug.org.au/listinfo/slug
