This isn't actually true. The bus used in the athlon is either 100Mhz 
electrical {200 DDR}
or 133Mhz electrical {266 DDR} this means if you have the right 
motherboard with
sdram support it can be used at either 100 Mhz or 133 Mhz  often known 
as PC100 or
PC133 Sdram.  However the memory throughput will be reduced and the 
overall performance
of the machine will be less.

My point is, it will work even on the latest athlons, if the Sdram board 
has a bios update to
support the latest athlons.
