(mainly for the archives)

on a Debian system, the runlevels are all identical (by default).

if you don't want to run xdm/kdm/gdm on a Debian system, just don't
install them (or remove them if you already have).

(either "apt-get remove xdm" or "dpkg --remove xdm")
