It's getting there. Slowely mind! I installed it on my laptop and it was fairly painless. I think it two goes but apart from that it seems to work quite well. I used the debian distro (which I would guess is the only one), apt works so life is good :-) The main problem I have is that X doesn't work on my machine as I need agpart and this is isn't supported on the hurd.
