Hey sluggers, I can't get my Palm to sync with Evolution cos gpilotd is refusing to connect - any tips? I have proved the serial port works by sticking a modem on it, I specify the correct port in the gpilotd-control-applet, and it says to insert the palm pilot and push the button. Well the palm just times out after a while and the control-applet just sits there. I have tried all the speeds and tweaks I can think of. --help can't give me anymore debug info. Same cradle and palm worked fine with Knoppix/kde. I also used gpilot there to sync with Evo and it worked without any drama at all. Any tips on how to get more info? running it from a gnome-terminal doesn't really help, it just says it can't find the initial user info, which you would expect as it hasn't ever connected....
