HI all, I am trying to re-compile and re-configure php on a FC3 server (it was NOT built with GD support). The current version on the system is 4.3.4, while what I have available is 4.3.9. ALl seems to configure and build OK, but once installed and Apache restarted phpinfo() still reports 4.3.4.
I did alos try php5, once I remembered to change the libphp line in httpd.conf it fired up OK, but none of the php files loaded when I went to the website, it just ignored them. So I figured there might be an issue between Apache2 and PHP5 and have gone back to 4.3.9. I have noticed that libphp4.so is not being rebuilt by the process. I even moved it out of the way and re-built but it did not create the file and there does not seem to be one in the source directory. I must be missing something but assume that 4.3.4 is still being reperoted because the libphp4.so file has not changed.
