Hi all

I have a virtual server from a hoster and the "load average" from top is : 34 32 25
I read that this is "This shows the average load (or the average number of processes ready to run) on your machine for the last 1, 5 and 15 minutes."

Examples of this value from google searching have values like 0.13
On my laptop just booted up it is 1 to 2 and after a while its 0.22.

Is a value of 34 bad for a virt server or is that value not to be taken at face value for a virt server? There is probably another customer of th ehoster on that physical server. I find that the server is responsive for me now, its not slow or anything but one user has mentioned to me that it was slow a while ago.
