Ooh errr!

All I got was a blank screen after restarting X.

Good job I'd created a back up.

Any other suggestions?

I'm trying to change the refresh rate to get rid of the flicker, but am having
trouble finding the specs for the card.

Also, I'm not sure how to enter the device name etc in xorg.conf.

Try using the i810 driver.. change the vesa line to i810 .. remove the
VideoRAM and UseFbDev lines..

Dave.

Secondly, the touchpad (Alps??) will not scroll...

I'm wondering if anyone has a similar machine (or similar hardware) and can
send me a copy of their xorg.conf, or if someone has fixed similar problems.

Thanks for any assistance, redirection or referral offered.

Regards,

Patrick

xorg.conf is shown below. What is weird is that the live cd for the first
Ubuntu picked up the video easily.
