Most of the listed providers are asterisk friendly, though generally
supported by the user community rather than the companies themselves.
Generally, if the VOIP provider supports SIP or IAX, you should be able
to get asterisk to connect. 

Note that you need a VOIP provider that supports direct inward dialing
(DID) to be allocated a PSTN number.

Trove around whirlpool or the VOIP providers forum first for asterisk
configs, that might help make the decision.
