I disagree. All other lists that I am on are subscriber only and it
does keep the spam off the lists. I don't see it as being restrictive
by requiring the poster to subscribe if it keeps the crud off the list.
I get far too much crud from direct email to want to see extra spam
from useful mailing lists.
I suspect the recent increase in spam is to do with the change
over of server. Give the filter some time and it will decrease -
assuming the filter is on of course (as the SLUG spam headers are no
longer present in messages).
I suspect not. I can see yo indication of spam trapping in the headers,
as you pointed out, and my 'out of the box' spamassassin does recognize
spam in SLUG.
