Yep, and a quick look at the stats from the Graduate Careers Council of Australia shows that recent median first year salaries for IT graduates under 25 years of age (ie, no work history) in Sydney is $40,000.
I can quite easily see a uni grad with only a degree getting $25,000 a year.
