G'day all, Although I covered a bit of what I want to do in my report thing a few weeks back, volunteering at LinuxWorld over the last few days has helped crystalise a lot of what I want to do with Slug over the next year.
* Make the committee's activities more transparent to the Slug community * Keep refining the content and focus of Slug meetings to adjust to the change in community demographic * Work with other FOSS and non-FOSS organisations more closely: * A national talk day, in collaboration with other LUGs * Support the restarting of WSLUG * Involvement with community groups such as RSL's and hobbyist computer groups to spread Linux and FOSS * New user orientation through Deckfests * With the help of the Slug community, make LCA07 the most kick-arse conference yet! I'd be happy to expand on any specific point at the AGM tomorrow night.
