hey guys
anyone else had any hassles with the regulations regarding .id.au domain names.

they sold a few good 2 letter .id.au domain names on the weekend (some are still available)

the registars reject many of them on the grounds that it is against auda policy as they are not your initials or do not seem to relate to your name.  yet auda policy says "personal names by which you are known" (I read this as nicknames) like blackie.id.au are acceptable.

I did some whoising and found hot.id.au, aussie.id.au, there.id.au and internet.id.au are all registered!

seems to me like the regulators have a conflict between promoting the sale of these domains and regulating their use.

anyone got any comments?
