Martin Visser did a presentation on linux last week. As a follow up on Saturday a group of SCLUG members (Martin, Jerimy, Andrew, Tim, Ashley) went to Southern Highlands Computer Users Group, http://www.shcug.org.au, to help in an install fest organised by Martin.
This was a great day. The results are a couple of computers with linux. But the big news is one of the attendees has asked about setting up a LUG as part of the computer group up there. So thanks to Martins initiatives looks like we could have another LUG getting off the ground. :-) We'll keep you posted! So for anybody out there thinking whether they should do a demonstration to their local PC user group. Just Do IT!
