The wireless works (I've tested it closer to the wireless router), but
not upstairs. I'd like to avoid wiring; are there things like repeaters
or larger aerials? The router is one of the newer model LinkSys's;
according to the sales rep I mightn't be able to patch it with one of
the improved versions that allow me to boost the signal, as the memory
size has been reduced.
One can indeed acquire such things as repeaters, but be careful when
you shop -- some repeaters aren't compatible with some types of AP.
Your best bet is probably to get a newish linksys repeater.
