Hi all,
I was trying to list a couple of things on eBay today (10Mbs
12-port-hub and two wardrobes) and haven't done this before.
I tried for ages to work out how to upload photos until I realised
that the site believes that I don't have Java installed. It appears
you need Java to allow you to use the photo upload function on the site.
I'm running Ubuntu 5.10 (KDE), Firefox 1.5.0.7 and Java Plug-in
1.5.0_05-b05 (or so about:plugins tells me).
Hi elliott-b,
You need to download JRE (Java Runtime Environment) package from
sun.java.com.
Once downloaded, install it in /usr/local/ directory.
Once installed it will look like /usr/local/jre-1.X.XX.
Then, include in your .bash_profile,
PATH=$PATH:/usr/local/jre-1.X.XX/bin; export PATH
Logout and login, start your Firefox, and do what you want to do.
Thanks for the floppy. If you need it email me.
Thanks again.
O Plameras
