Hi all, in recent years, Chris Deigan has been active with recording, transcoding and publishing the SLUG talks.
Chris now has to retire from this job. We are therefore seeking individuals who are willing to invest their time to help share the goodness of SLUG talks with the community. The task requires to record the general interest and the special interest talk of SLUG meetings. We are deliberately seeking more than one individual such that the need to cover every SLUG meeting can be shared. A camera, tripod, DVD recorder, tapes and DVDs are all available. Publishing is done through transcoding of DVDs to Ogg Theora (on a computer), and uploading to the SLUG media server (through an Internet connection). There is no need for prior knowledge on any of these tasks - in fact, feel free to use this to learn more about digital video technology! Please reply if you can help out! Cheers, Silvia. -- SLUG - Sydney Linux User's Group Mailing List - http://slug.org.au/ Subscription info and FAQs: http://slug.org.au/faq/mailinglists.html
