Sorry to drop another name in late, but the AP that Freenet Antennas [sic - not "antennae"!] http://store.freenet-antennas.com/ sell is a linux box and comes in different tx power up to 200 mW, if this is an advantage to you (typically tx power of APs is 60-80 mW). This is legal so long as you match to an antenna that's not too high gain - the rubber duck is way short of being illegal. They are in WA not Sydney but I think couriers do the run east.
