Dunno about Australia, but gelato.org ran a suervey to find the most used distro on Itanium: It seemed split 45/45/10 for Suse/RHEL and Debian. But because of the way the survey was run, it didn't count `popularity' (whatever that may mean) it counted sites. If the majority of installations at a site were RHEL, then that was counted; but talking privately with our members, many sites deploy RHEL (say) across a few thousand machines on a cluster, but use Debian for development.
We could run a similar survey on the Slug website I suppose... There's no other real way to find out. And what does `most popular' mean anyway? Most installed machines? Or most sites using? Or what? -- -- Dr Peter Chubb http://www.gelato.unsw.edu.au [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.ertos.nicta.com.au ERTOS within National ICT Australia -- SLUG - Sydney Linux User's Group Mailing List - http://slug.org.au/ Subscription info and FAQs: http://slug.org.au/faq/mailinglists.html
