The friend's equipment: Hardy Heron 100GB external hard drive (Seagate) USB2 connection
The drive works with Windows, however Hardy won't recognise it. He has a tichier 4GB USB2 drive. Hardy recognises this. Many thanks to those who posted suggestions. Does this alter things?
