Yes. I'm afraid I'm biased in the direction of the GNU/Linux desktop. I'm not ignorant of the latest software but can't think why I would want to use grot (winduhs) on my desktop :) I know that the latest version of Internet Exploder is said to be more "standards compliant" but I can't think of a use for it on my own desktop.
