http://dreamhost.com/ Supports all the bog standard LAMP stuff, including all your favourite PHP modules, and they are incredibly flexible about what you can run. They’ll even let you compile your own PHP CGI and run it, should you feel the urge. Oh, and did I mention unlimited storage and unlimited bandwidth? (Excluding abusers of course, but don't get the wrong impression — I served 60 GB a *day* for quite a few months about year back and wasn't hassled at all) If you’re looking for something more than shared hosting, then you can’t go past Linode, but for most people, DreamHost is simply awesome.
