Hi,
Temasek Poly has requested for speakers on the following topics for
their Linux Day on 30 Jan 2008.
Each talk only has 30 minutes.
1. Open Source Software. (general overview of what is available).
I can do this one. Will be most happy if someone else what to do it. At
least they see a different view from last year because I did that talk
last year.
2. Voice over IP using Linux.
Just a general over view of all the features and possibilities. Asterisk
comes to mind.
3. Security on Linux.
A very general look at why linux is secure. Like we only use root to do
admin work, selinux or grsecurity, firewall, squid, clamav. Stuff like
that. I too am very interested in this talk. I need to learn this also.
The event is on a Wednesday and it starts at 10am and should finish by 1pm.
Last year it went very well. The lecture hall was almost full with students.
They are also looking for some give aways from companies. If Suse and
Redhat can do something, that would be great.
