While I completely agree with advocating more of free software than open source (well, free software society in general advocates open source with certain free and royalty-free licenses), any moves towards opening sources of proprietary software (including those which still require you to pay royalty for reusing) is better than nothing. For once, it makes reverse engineering a lot easier IMO. My biggest concerns now is actually software patents. Sigh.
