IMO, USB wireless is the way to go.

I am using a Taiwanese brand USB Wireless adapter - make: Edimax, works well 
with Gutsy and Ibex. I think they use the Ralink chipset , Look for it in 
SimLim shops. Very cheap too...

I think the company supports Linux and provides driver source on the CD , but 
that is not really required for *buntu.
