Hi Ok, now that I'm done playing devil's advocate, I'd like to suggest something else.
I would like to make the local Linux community a little more social. I've always enjoyed the social get-togethers we used to have a lot more then the ones where I was a speaker trying to prevent my audience from cat-napping :) To this end I would love it if we can start having regular Hackdays again. I experimented with this donkey-years ago, and absolutely loved the social aspect of it. This time I want to ratchet things up a few notches: How about mashing up a Hackday with a specific "Social Goal" a'la http://www2.innocentive.com/. In other words, we source a community with a specific need for an open source solution, and organize a hackday of mad keyboard-based activity to solve/implement the solution for them. I envision projects that range from "Install Drupal in our domain" all the way to "we need this simple software utility website developed". So think: Linux + Social Incentive + Community need + A day of your time. Your comments please ! Cheers Stephan
