Hi slugnetters, I have a Dyndns problem. I have linux machines at home and at work, both connected to mio routers, and both have dyndns hostnames. I want a cron job at work to rsync to my home machine every few hours and ssh into one from the other. This works great for a random period of hours or days, and then singtel appears to reset the ip numbers in such a way that dyndns appears to see a singtel proxy ip address rather than my actual machine. Hence dyndns lookups fail. This is indicated by the fact that the IP address dyndns thinks my host lives at differs from my current actual ip address (as reflected on the relevant dyndns.org "Modify hostname" settings page).
Any ideas on how to resolve this please? I have dyndns pro, set my service to "Host with IP address" and have set the time-to-live to 60s. Many thanks for any ideas, JL _______________________________________________ LUGS Mailing list - [email protected] List FAQ: http://wiki.lugs.org.sg/LugsMailingListFaq Info page: http://www.lugs.org.sg/mailman/listinfo/slugnet To unsubscribe send an empty email to: [email protected]
