Hi, 1degreenorth Pte Ltd (http://www.1degreenorth.com) is looking to hire several passionate developers experienced with Linux kernel and systems development.
The Founding team of 1degreenorth are the early pioneers of Linux and HPC clusters in Singapore and Asia Pacific. We were the co-developers of SDSC's Rocks cluster toolkit from 2002-2006; and developers of Project Kusu from 2006-2010. Project Kusu is the foundation of many HPC management systems OEM'ed/resold by DELL, INTEL, HP, Cray and Red Hat today. We are embarking on the development of the next-generation of HPC and Cloud infrastructure and we are inviting like-minded, never-say-die, we-can-change-the-world attitude people to join our team. * Required knowledge, skills and experience * - Proficient in programming in assembly and C/C++ - Experience in developing Linux device drivers. - Experience with Linux Kernel programming - In-depth knowledge of OS internals and RTOS - Experience with developing PC based device drivers and/or system software. - Detailed knowledge of PC HW and system SW is required. - Experience in trouble-shooting HW device level problems is required. - Proficiency in X86 assembly, is strongly desired. - Detailed knowledge about Ethernet networking is strongly desired. - Knowledge of higher level network protocols including TCP/IP. - Excellent communication skills and good teamwork are needed. - Must be highly motivated. - Familiar with the Linux kernel and networking developer community. - B. Sc. in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering plus 3-5 years of related experience. * Bonus * - Knowledge and experience in SCSI, iSCSI, and FC protocol is desired. - Experience with ASIC environment. - Extensive hands-on experience with backplanes, ATCA, PCI/PCIe, hot-swap support, open source and off-the-shelf chassis management software - Knowledge of memory management, SMP, and cache coherence issues - Knowledge of virtualization/container technologies - Understanding of processor architectures - Ability to identify and fix performance issues Please indicate your interest to [email protected].
