Hi folks

We have Slurm 2.5.7 on our BG/Q and AllowGroups seems to work:

[samuel@avoca SHOWQ]$ grep debug /usr/local/slurm/etc/slurm.conf
PartitionName=debug Nodes=bgq[0000x1011] Default=NO State=Up
Allowgroups=ibm,vlsci Priority=60000

[samuel@avoca SHOWQ]$ salloc -p debug
salloc: Pending job allocation 459046
salloc: job 459046 queued and waiting for resources
salloc: job 459046 has been allocated resources
salloc: Granted job allocation 459046
salloc: Block RMP21Ju171328631 is ready for job

However, an identical configuration on our x86 systems doesn't seem to
work:

[samuel@barcoo ~]$ fgrep debug /usr/local/slurm/etc/slurm.conf
PartitionName=debug Nodes=barcoo[001-070] Default=NO State=UP
Allowgroups=ibm,vlsci

[samuel@barcoo ~]$ salloc -p debug
salloc: error: Failed to allocate resources: User's group not
permitted to use this partition

My groups are identical on both machines:

[samuel@avoca SHOWQ]$ id | md5sum
984f15257745811646809426b4faff58 -

[samuel@merri ~]$ id | md5sum
984f15257745811646809426b4faff58 -

Anyone else seen this?

cheers,
Chris
