[snip] I manage a bunch of Matlab licenses. That is as-designed for NNU licenses. You get 2 hosts per license and it doesn't matter if you start up 2 jobs on 2 systems, or 3 dozen on two systems. However, start up a 3rd and FlexLM *should* smack it down. I wish Mathworks had a better integration with SLURM for this kind of license usage, but that is another topic. The issue that Raymond is having looks like it is specific to MDCS/SLURM. Normally, I would suggest restarting the FlexLM service. I have seen licenses "stick" many times. FlexLM thinks the license is in use when it isn't. However, this is clearly something in SLURM from the output Raymond posted and I am afraid I have no suggestions on that one.
