We are seeing the same issue on 16.05 - warning when using --ntasks-per-node and --node together in a job-script.
Also --cpus-per-task is not doing what it should when using OpenMPI. If it's a bug, which I'm far from certain of, does it qualify as a bug in Slurm or in Intel MPI given that the same Intel MPI versions worked OK with Slurm 15.08?
