Market opened flat in the morning and soon entered in the negative territory but in the later part of the day market bounced back led by selected banking, real estate and metal stocks. Finally Spot Nifty ended the day at 3661.90 gaining only 8 points or 2.22%.BSE Sensex closed at 12131 down by only 4 points. In the Midcap space selected stocks had put sterling show. The volume was quite higher than the previous few trading sessions and the breadth of the market was absolutely positive in the ratio of 5:1. Technically speaking in the Spot Nifty daily candle stick chart a dozi pattern has emerged which depicts indecision. Presently the minor trend is clearly up. The minor trend line support exists at 3600. Also Spot Nifty is moving above all its short and long term moving averages. Even though the benchmark indices ended flat the undertone of the markets remained strong. The market breadth was in favour of the advances and the volumes were quite high as compared to previous day. The benchmark index closed marginally lower at 12,131 down just 4 points after trading in the range of 12,197 – 11,985. The Nifty ended 8 points higher at 3,661. Among the Broader indices - the BSE Midcap Index was up 1.85% or 67 and the Smallcap Index rose 1.98% or 80 points. Buying was seen in capital good, reality, metals and sugar stocks, while select IT, oil & gas and FMCG stocks remained under pressure.
