I have a customer that had this problem that was causing me
major hair loss.
He couldn't get to quite a few websites (wyoming.com, cnn, yahoo,
lycos, ect.)
I tried everything I could think of, changed from ABT to ABO with 19dBi
panel. Got better signal
(now in upper 90's RSSI /Qual) but no change in symptoms.
I changed his MTU, Rwin, window scaling, timestamp, MTU path discovery
and others, still no change.
I finally changed his NIC to 10-T half and everything is working. Why? No
clue!
His computer is a fairly recent Gateway running XP with an Intel NIC. The
NIC was set to auto negotiate
but the only thing I can figure is it wasn't setting the speed
correctly.
