I've been quietly going insane for the past week trying to solve one customer's problem. Each time I think I've got it solved it comes back again. The solution de jour is as close as I can tell they have a Macintosh that when you give it the shut down command it just freezes up and doesn't shut down. When that happens, it may very well make the airBridge Outdoor freeze up or partially freeze up for all the other computers on the LAN.
There has been no router at their location, only static IPs all around. I changed that today and put in the only type of router (a consumer el cheapo) I had on hand and made it the DHCP server. So far the LAN is doing okay with my testing even when the Mac freezes up, I couldn't get it to break down like it has been doing for the past week. Any guesses what's going on with a Macintosh killing the aBO, or am I again barking up the wrong mast? footnote: They won't take my advice and dump the Mac, they'd rather dump the internet.
