Actually, any time you change your subnet (go from no subnet to a subnet, go from one subnet to another, etc) you must restart simpleMonitor. I find it annoying, too. I recently redid my IP addressign scheme for two reasons: reduce the number of IP addresses to keep track of while doing bandwidth management, and to get around this annoyance. Yes, I changed subnets that much.

I obviously dont need it. I want it. What is the difference?

The other problem is that when I put my laptop into my docking station and switch to a wired Ethernet connection, simpleMonitor stops finding the devices. I have to close and restart it.

Do you use simpleMonitor so much that it is necessary to start it with Windows?

I just dont see the need for this?  Maybe that is why I havent seen this issue come up before.

This is a minor annoyance:

If I open simpleMonitor prior to establishing a connection to my network, then connect and search for devices, nothing comes up.

If I close and restart simpleMonitor, it works fine.

It wouldnt be a problem, except that on my laptop with a wireless connection, I would like to start simpleMonitor when Winblows starts, but my wireless card does not establish a connection until a few seconds after I get to my desktop and sM is already running.
