But why is the aB is not seen by the Orinoco Manager? What's the aB doing that the typical non-Oriinoco radio does not? Connections seem to be working fine (altho we have some doubt about that).

I have AB's on both an Orinoco 2000 and a COR with one radio in AP mode. (Clips from archives.) Any thoughts on the Orinoco Manager not seeing aB associations? Bill Clark ---------------- Nish, I looked to verify, I am not running closed system. The SB AirBridge works great, no problem associating or passing data. The "link Test" usually shows the station name (usually the computer name) and the MAC address. I can see Orinoco EC Converters, PCMCIA cards, a seno card on the list, but no SB. I have only used Orinoco or others under different names and the seno clients, so I don't know if this would be the same for other clients. On the DSLreports forum it was mentioned that the Linksys USB didn't show either. It will be interesting when I connect to my other AP, it is a COR running in AP mode and uses Karlnet software. (This will not happen for a couple days) ----- Original Message ----- From: Nish Park To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Wednesday, February 12, 2003 4:14 PM Subject: RE: [smartBridges] Can not see SB AirBridge on Orinoco AP2000 Are you running the Orinoco closed system on the AP? Also keep in mind that you will see the MAC # of the PC and not that of the airBridge (unless you are running new multimac firmware). It is working great connected to an Orinoco-AP2000. I went to the link test of the AP-2000 to check the link, but I can not see the SB on the link test list. My other devices show but no SmartBridge. Does anyone use this combo and can explain why?
