If a
power connection is a little loose, a surge in power can arc and leave a carbon
layer that interfers with the connection. Moving the connection brings
everything back up.

We have an APPO in Access Point mode on the roof of a house high on a hill here in New Mexico. Last night there was a nice electrical storm overhead. The APPO went down. Today I went up on the roof and found all lights off on the unit. Other ac powered items of ours on this roof were on. I turned off the battery backup which killed power to everything, then I turned it back on. The APPO came on! Clients could then associate and surf.
So, the question is, “What caused the APPO to turn off? If there was a power loss why did the APPO not come back on when power was restored?”
Other facts:
Thanks for thinking about this.
