Hi Jason, If your router is not auto sense mode, please use the cross cable to connect to the DSL modem. Please make sure that by step by step connectivity from DSL modem to APPO1, APPO2 and router. The router not getting WAN IP address means, you need to verify the following parameters. I hope you are using the new release firmware.
Please confirm the above and then we continue the troubleshooting if the problem not resolved.
