The ATMEL chip bug was there a year ago but was resolved, and all the firmware version listed on our support web site do not have this bug at all. If you have seen this issue, I would like to get hold of the unit after eliminating out installation issue, ethernet cable or crimpping improper, grounding or noisy power source. I belive this is isolated case, please give me more details on this with respect to the setup, devices involved, signal strength, history, frequency & interval of occurence, etc..

We are working on a simpleWatch that you guys has requested to have an option to reset the airBridge if no association for more than 5 min, and I would like to stress that this is not an indication of such problem exists until we find the real issue.

Thanks mat, I also have noticed that the older versions seem to have less freezing but I could be wrong because I couldn't manage them, personally I don't believe the cable is the problem Seeni, maybe partially but the fact is AP's don't freeze Clients do both are 802.11b also I have client with 5' of Ethernet cable that are still freezing this is the one im talking about that I had left his house working fine 3mbit throughput all the time I was so happy he went to work came home and told me it was frozen up (this was a total).

Hope to see atmel and sb working together makes me very proud to be working with a very confident and helpful company. (The one problem with most other 802.11b companies.)

Thanks again, keep us posted PLEASE,

Chris

I don't think you email too often. It's good someone is vocal about the problems they are/are not having. I find it interesting reading personally.

Ok I get the point I email far too often and say far to much whatever the case may be, and I know myself and others have mentioned this before but I feel I must bring this up once again since we have STILL not got a definite answer yet we have all been contributing to asking what the problem and solution is. I know I personally have been contacting you but I figure I will ask on the forum to get a general response from sb that everyone can see.

SMARTBRIDGE AIRBRIDGE FREEZING, Possible ATMEL chip bug that other ATMEL based products had? Could it be the same? Solution in the works?

The airpoint's don't do this in ap mode im not sure about client mode but I know for sure that all the airbridges are freezing up so can we expect our next AB firmware release soon? And will it fix this GIANT bug. Please help and respond.

Thanks again,

Chris Chance
