Subject: [smartBridges] Questions on SmartBridge Products

Do the AirPoints have a bandwidth limitation setting per user.. I.E. I want each user to have 256 or 512k bandwidth only.
Not that I have seen lately.

Radius authencation, is there one built in, i.e. do I have to use my own radius server?
For the moment, yes

What kind of range can I get out of a AirPoint Total?  The prices I am getting is around $380 per unit, is this correct?
Well, range is a function here of variables you haven't addressed well.  If you are happy
with that price, that is great.  Go for it.

What about installations on customer homes?  I can find the AirBridge Totals for a little under $300. What else is everyone using to install these?
The standards are based on what type of quality you are willing to provide your customers.  Here it is only
the best and what we have discussed and mutually agreed upon before beginning work.

What kind of warrenties are with these products?
[Ron Berry] Read SmartBridges spec sheets

If I wanted to get a 360 radius from my tower of 150 foot, how many access points would I need?
We are getting into the theory, " Why won't you just design my system for me and
so I can profit from all of your and everyone else's mistakes?"  You need to read the archives
for this list and any others you can get into and learn from all the information provided to you
there.

What kind of site survey equipment is best and simplest to use?
Again, read the archives.  As late as today and yesterday this very subject was
a specific matter of many postings.

Anyone want to share what they are doing to help offset customer costs of equipment?
My conditions probably would not fit your situation.  Perhaps
there are others that will offer some broader advise

Thanx in advance,
You are welcome

Dennis
