You can just use Mikrotik or StarOS to do that.

You can do it the pptp way but IMO your better of using pppoe since
that would allow you to use any bb router at the clients location
since most bb routers don't support pptp. With pppoe you can get
encrypted traffic as well, plus it secures your network since all
authentications are done with username/pw combo with no ip needed on
the router headend facing the clients. So nobody can just jump on your
network and find a working ip and get access to the net because the
router don't route in traditional way.. Also as a extra plus you can
disable client to client communication in your aPP's so that if joe
and bob try to steal air time from your aPP's they can't do anything
because client to client communication is disabled and if they don't
have a valid username/pw they can't get access to the net either..
However thanks to the functionallity of pppoe valid clients can still
talk to each other and ALL traffic is going through your pppoe server
and you can rate control and account for their ip traffic..
Only drawback is that if they don't run winxp or a bb router then they
have to install a third party pppoe dialer client (which is available
for free on the net www.raspppoe.com)

ET> Has anyone done any experimenting with PoPToP?

ET> http://poptop.org

ET> My understanding is that it provides that ability to use encrypted ppp
ET> sessions with Windows clients without an additional software on the client
ET> system.

ET> Does this mean that wisps (like me & us) could use poptop to encrypt "all" the
ET> traffic between clients and our systems? This is a concern for me - because
ET> "I think that my clients think" that wireless is "insecure" I know I need to

ET> would using an app like poptop allow me to say that I have as secure a system

ET> Oh yeah, better put something about smartbridges in here. Does any one know if
ET> there is an incompatibilities between poptop and smartbridges equipment?
