With this explination.   What is the Point-to-Multipoint setup used for?  My assumption it is for hitting multiple towers.  Maybe if I am running a Secotor antenna or Omni?

The airPoint-PRO can operate in four different Modes, namely
  • Access Point - In this mode the airPoint-PRO is operating as a normal 802.11b compliant Access Point. Client Info and Client Auth Tabs of simpleMonitor will be enabled in this Mode.
  • Client Bridge - In this mode the airPoint-PRO is operating as ethernet client, and you can associate it with Access Point on the LAN. SiteSurvey and Link Status Tabs of simpleMonitor will be enabled on this Mode. This Ethernet Client supports the multiple PCs. See the Application notes for more details.
  • Wireless Bridge - In this mode airPoint-PRO can bridge 2 or more LANs wirelessly. This Mode support 2 subModes as,
    1. Point to Point - This mode lets one airPoint-PRO talk to another airPoint-PRO wirelessly linking two Ethernet LANs behind together.
    2. Point to MultiPoint - This mode lets multiple airPoint-PRO linking multiple Ethernet LANs.
    Wireless Bridge Tab of simpleMonior will be enabled in this mode.
  • Wireless Repeater - In this Mode airPoint-PRO radio act as Access Point and ethernet client simultaneously. The Access Point serves the local clients and client connects to the parent Access Point. Client Info, Client Auth and Link Status Tabs of simpleMonitor will be enabled on this mode. Please see the application note for more details.
Wireless Bridge mode will not function as AP mode; it is for connecting Lan to Lan.

First off, let me tell you my current setup.
 
NOC with Tower, and AP Total unit.
Second Tower with AP Total Unit
The NOC has two T3s for bandwidth.
 
In Wireless Bridge Mode, I have two submodes.
 
submode 1is Point-To-Point.  This allows my AP on tower 2 to talk to my AP at my NOC. 
submode 2 is Point-to-multipoint.  Correct me if I am wrong on this, but this allows that SAME AP on either tower (they are both in Wireless bridge mode) to be a Access Point for any clients. If clients are inbetween these locations, I have two towers that they can shoot at for service .. 
 
In repeater mode, it is just like using a router once the AP grabs the signal, the APPO grabs the signal from the NOC and then sends it back out for any clients. 
 
Now if I am wrong, which somehow I am assuming that I am, these two modes are VERY identical. 
 
How have I read the information wrong?
