[smartBridges] trouble changing password on airPoint

Can't seem to be able to change either the admin or user password on 
an airPoint. I'm familiar with the concepts as I can change the 
passwords on an airPoint-PRO on the same LAN. I can successfully log 
into this airPoint and change any other setting I want, but not the 
passwords. This airPoint has the latest firmware loaded and I'm using 
the latest simpleMonitor. I am attempting this over the wireless 
interface. Is there something I'm missing? ~joe
