no we are not, the suggestions would only add $47 in COST 1000 QTY parts. It would take away $35 + 14.98 in LPD units required to keep these stable.
If we wanted to add a steel case, we are talking 7$ in 1000 qty prices. The weather CAT5 nut would be offset by the outdoor seal currently used. The plastic case isn't too cheep ether, I expect they have a per-item cost around $4 The single most expensive cost will be re-tooling. this is why their is often lots of blank spaces on PC boards, for future features. This is why I made the suggestion for the 'next pcb rev', as I know they wont be in before that.
